As one of the flagship events of FAST-NU’s annual social calendar, NaSCon offers an unparalleled opportunity for students to connect with the brightest minds and most innovative ideas from across Pakistan.

An event in which students would be setting up stalls to sell their products. The core purpose of this is to help the students become good entrepreneurs and make them aware of the challenges faced by businesses.
Speed Programming, also known as competitive programming, is a competition for IT-disciplined students to show off their programming skills by solving logical puzzles using code. Aptly named, speed programming is a timed competition in which the faster and the more programs you solve, the better your chances are of winning.
The coding will be of a basic Introduction to Computing (ITC)/Programming Fundamentals (PF) level and will be in C/C++ language. The event will comprise 2 rounds. Round 1 is a paper based round where each team will be provided with C/ C++ codes. There will be a total of three to four short questions in which you have to identify and correct logical as well as syntax errors. The time allotted for this round is 45 minutes, and the next 25 minutes for evaluations in which participants will not be allowed to leave. Round 2 is the compiler-based round on “g++” compiler. A single question in C/C++ language will be provided to you on the spot, in which you have to identify the errors in the code (logical and syntax both), correct them so it gives a proper output and submit the file. Round 2 will be of approximately 60 minutes.
Ever wanted to go to Evo? Ever thought about what it feels like to be a professional gamer? Well now's your chance! With 700 people participating in games like valorant, csgo, cod 4, FIFA and Tekken 7 last year, we expect even more this time around.
This event is divided into 3 sub-events. 1. Multiple Choice Mania ● Questions regarding basic engineering will be asked from the participants. ● For each correct answer the teams will be rewarded with 10 points. ● The teams will have a ‘wheel of fortune’, the wheel will consist of lifelines and punishments, making it a risky wildcard. 2. Rapid Fire ● Each team will face 5 questions in quick succession, with 10 seconds to answer each question and earn points for every correct answer. 3. Activity Session ● Buzz wire: The objective of this Arduino-powered game is to successfully navigate the loop attached to the grip through the wire maze without contacting the metal. If the loop touches the maze, even briefly, an alarm will sound, and the player must restart the game from the beginning. ● Rocket league: In this segment, teams will send three members each to control a single remote-controlled car unit and compete against the opposing team to score goals within the designated arena. ● Maze Runner: In a twist on the classic maze runner game, the player controlling the remote-controlled car will be blindfolded, relying on their team member to guide them to the finish line within the allotted time. ● Morse Code: The team must decipher a sentence using a key in the form of a sequence of dots, dashes, and spaces provided to them.
